Spearmotors and Sounds Ltd is a Rwandan company registered at the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) with company registration number 107 588 959. The management and ownership is fully Rwandan
We have more than 12 years experience as a partner with Yamaha Japan in Rwanda.
We do assembly of motorbikes and outboard engines. We also import boats on order.
We are the sole authorised distributor of Yamaha in Rwanda
We participate in public tenders and have had the opportunity to provide our goods and services across all sectors of government and non-governmental agencies.
Yamaha in Rwanda:
Yamaha Motor was founded on July 1, 1955 in Japan at the location of the current Hamakita Factory. They have had a presence in Rwanda for more than 45 years. It has been the market leader in Africa offering a wide range of different land and marine products. Yamaha is present in all the countries of the world.
Training program
Spearmotors & Sound Ltd has utilized a training program in coordination with the Rwandan Workforce Development Agency (WDA). Our program has taught more than 30 students and armed them with skills in assembly of motorcycles and driving. This was four months program.
Spear Motors and Sound Ltd Covid-19 response and support.
Spearmotors Managing Director seen on the left taking a photo when we donated four motorbikes to facilitate in the fight against the Covid-19 virus that became a pandemic in 2020. These were located to the four provinces and they will come in handy in accessing those areas that would not be easily reachable by road. This is an example of how we believe the products we have can reach out into the community we live in and make a difference to all. .

Since the inception of Spearmotors and Sound Ltd, we have always been at the forefront in our partnership with Yamaha giving Rwandans the taste of international quality machines right here at home. The relationship we have built is one we cherish and take at heart across the entire organization.
Motorcycles have been the ore business for Spearmotors and Sound Ltd since our founding. They are vehicles familiar to the people of Rwanda for practical day-to-day mobility and for recreation and motorsport too. The products cater to the individuals tastes and interests whether it’s short distance mobility in a city environment or long-distance touring, riding on racetracks and more.
We also offer outboard motors that are lightweight, compact and powerful with great reliability and have outstanding environmental performance. These will give you enough power for your small fishing, transportation or touring boat. For those seeking the thrill of water sports we have the jet propelled WaveRunner which is also relevant for use in life saving operations.
